I will write an essay about the blind side. The blind side is one of the most popular movies that came out in March of 2010. This movie relates to racism and based on limitations of being poor or wealthy.
In this essay I will argue that you can do what you put your mind too. Whether you’re black white, poor, wealthy you can still do anything. If people stand in your way, you can work around them and be kind to everyone because you don’t know who is going to be there for you in your future.
I will begin my essay with people in America live with so many regrets because of what happened in their life as a child. I will also include my thesis statement (Despite some people the blind side may be helpful for people to watch and learn some life lessons.)
The summary about this movie is a millionaire family takes in an African American that is challenged at school work but in but is a great football player. The family pays for a tutor so he can become what he’s always wanted to do. Was play football. Everyone keeps putting him down and saying he can’t do it because he is challenged in school. Well he proved them wrong
· What are the highlights about this movie that caught your eye while watching The Blind Side?
· Is there enough information here in this movie to make an essay?
· How many times do people go through this rough patch in this lifetime?
I think the highlight of this movie for me was when Michael saved the little boys life during their car wreck. There is enough information in this book to make an essay, but also you would need to get some statistics of some sort. I do not think you will ever find too many stories like Michael's. It is rare that someone does something like this for a young, African-American boy.
ReplyDeleteI think I have seen this movie before. I don't remember much about it though. However,I agree that anyone can do what they set their mind to. Race has nothing to do with one's goal or dream. It should not affect or limit one's dream. Neither should the amount of money a person have. A dream is a dream and it is achievable if you set your mind to it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Darrianna about there being enough information in the movie and book but that facts and statistics need to be incorperated into the paper. I also agree with Hanh about how race shouldn't be a roadblock to one's dreams but some times what "shouldn't" be, isn't necessarily how things are. Side note about impactful moments: from what I can remember, the three moments that I think are impactful are when Michael saves his little brother's life, when his sister sits with him in the library, and when Michael said that he had never had his own bed before.
ReplyDeleteI have neither heard of or seen this movie. I have no idea if there is enough material to write an essay on it, I have no idea what highlights are in the movie, but I do think people go through tough times while trying to reach their goal.
ReplyDeleteI really like your stance that you can do anything as long as you set your mind on it. The Blind Side is a very good example of that. I'm sure this essay will be great :)
ReplyDeleteThe highlights were him getting his dream come true. I say yes there is enough information to write an essay on The Blind Side. I say there are a lot of people that go through tough times in this lifetime, though they might be bigger or smaller than what The Blind Side shows.
