I took a break from reading the dog’s purpose. I’ve been way too busy to read lately but I did read this short book Heartbeat by Danielle steel. About a married couple being successful and she ends up pregnant and the husband doesn’t want to have a kid. They end up getting a divorce and she meets this really nice man that she works with. She wants to take it slow but always puts herself down because of her husband treating her like dirt in the past. They end up getting together but the reason why I picked this is because of what he says to her “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” I know you need to have a passage but this quote really came and hit me. You wonder what he means; it can go for all kinds of things. The way I picture this quote in everyday life is women. Women try to make themselves look good for men or to other woman. Competition is what they call it. My best friend is a person that will always tell you how it is. She never lies or hesitates she’s blunt as you can get. She said “if they don’t like you for who you are then their bad, someone will come along and look at you like you’re the only one that matters. There are too many girls that cake makeup on all day long. Is there something wrong with natural beauty? “My best friend is a great person to ask when you want the truth about how you look... This quote can go for anything but this is one thing that stood out to me, plus it was a topic over the weekend……
Your book sounds interesting. I want to know more!
ReplyDelete“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, this quote is very true. Beauty in everyone's eye is differnet. The truth in beauty is really just how one sees beauty. It is also true that if a person deos not like you for who you than you just shouldn't care. There are people who will accept you for who you are, just the way you are. I don't think one should change for anyone, except themseleves because they want to.
ReplyDeleteNice quote and explaination
ReplyDeleteMy mom reads a lot of Danielle Steele books, she'd probably tell you if you like her to read some JD Robb so that is what I will tell you to do.
ReplyDeleteI like your summary and your quotes. They're really good.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your response, I too would have chosen that quote because it is so true. Also, I agree there are so many girls that plaster on the make-up and it just looks fake, not like the real them. I for one avoid caking make-up on I put barely any on and only on the weekdays.
